Pre-K Registration for September 2012
All children who will be four years old on or before December 1, 2012 and live within the Springs School District are eligible to attend Springs School Pre-Kindergarten. Pre-Kindergarten is a half-day program, morning or afternoon (see schedule below under "2011-12 School Schedule"). Placement in the morning or afternoon session is determined by lottery. You may register for the 2012-2013 school year beginning Tuesday, January 31, 2012, in the main office. Kindly go to the Parent and Student Information page to view requirements. Completed registration forms and residency verification must be returned to the Springs School main office. Please note that provision of Pre-Kindergarten for the 2012-13 school year will be dependent upon two factors: 1) the inclusion of Pre-Kindergarten in the 2012-13 Springs School budget, and 2) continued receipt of Universal Pre-Kindergarten grant funding by Springs School. If you have any questions, please contact Suzanne Janis at
631-324-0144

Please be advised, that prior to receiving authorization to attend East Hampton High School, students must first register in the Springs School Main Office, and verify residency in the Springs District. AHERA Notification
In compliance with the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA), Springs School buildings have been inspected for asbestos-containing building materials. The EPA and the New York State Education Department require us to conduct reinspections of the buildings every three years. An EPA/NYS accredited Inspector/Management Planner performed the inspections in August 2010 and recommended actions to safely manage the asbestos materials in our buildings. No response actions were taken during the previous year. The results of the reinspection are on file in the management plan in the District Office. Everyone is welcome to view the AHERA Management Plan during normal school hours.
