AHERA Notification
In compliance with the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA), Springs School buildings have been inspected for asbestos-containing building materials. The EPA and the New York State Education Department require us to conduct reinspections of the buildings every three years. An EPA/NYS accredited Inspector/Management Planner performed the inspections in August 2010 and recommended actions to safely manage the asbestos materials in our buildings.  No response actions were taken during the previous year.  The results of the reinspection are on file in the management plan in the District Office. Everyone is welcome to view the AHERA Management Plan during normal school hours.
